Katherine Ratcliffe

Katherine is a 23-year-old trainee sports journalist, currently studying on the NCTJ accredited course at St Mary's University, Twickenham.

During the integrated year abroad as part of her BA in French and German, Katherine enjoyed a four-month internship in Munich at mmc sport, a sports media agency, whose clients include Bundesliga clubs and the German Football Association (DFB): this fixed her sights on working in sports media.

She continues to work freelance for the company, being tasked with occasional shifts to manage all of the social media accounts as well as translating detailed Opta statistics for several Bundesliga games each matchday.

Having tried her hand at a variety of sports since a young age, from tag rugby to trampolining, triple jump to tennis, she would be open to covering any areas. However, her main interests lie in football, gymnastics, netball, athletics and disability sport.

She has journalistic experience with The Sun and worked under the guidance of The FA at the 2015 Cerebral Palsy Football World Championships.

She regularly writes and produces video content for, on a range of topics from wheelchair rugby to tennis, and produced numerous articles for Sportsister on the Vitality Netball International Series between England and Jamaica at the start of December.
