Wasps Netball boast a wealth of Superleague experience despite being one of the competition’s new franchises. In assembling both their coaching staff and players, they’ve sent out a real signal of intent to the other teams.

After seven years with Surrey Storm, former England mid-courter Tamsin Greenway decided it was time for a new challenge and has joined Wasps as director of netball. With considerable nous, resolute determination, unquestionable passion for the game and an eye for detail – herself and Kat Ratnapala analysed minutes and minutes of game footage last season – the new club are certainly in safe hands.

Greenway has also brought in some big name signings, including taking last season’s top scorer, Rachel Dunn, Sophia Candappa and South Africa captain Bongiwe Msomi from Storm. England’s Natalie Haythornthwaite, praised for her creativity and versatility, will offer an extra dimension in attack.

First fixture: vs. Sirens (A, Tuesday 21st February at 19:45)

Regular season winner odds: 5/2 (Sky Bet)
