2017 Vitality Netball Superleague preview: Severn Stars
The 2017 Vitality Netball Superleague promises to be bigger and better than ever with new players, new coaches and new teams!
Ten sides will battle it out to be crowned champions when the league gets underway on Friday 17th February.

After winning seven domestic titles as a player, Pamela Cookey is now hoping to guide Severn Stars to Superleague success.
Stars have also sent out a clear message to the competition about their ambition by bringing in former Australian Diamonds player Mo’onia Gerrard as their head coach. Gerrard has stated she wants to win in the club’s maiden campaign but also admitted that she knows she has “got to just reign in a bit.”
The new franchise will be truly fired up for their opening match though with former Manchester Thunder players Jodie Gibson, Laura Malcolm and Eleanor Cardwell out to beat Surrey Storm and avenge last season’s play-off final defeat.
Vastly-experienced Josie Janz-Dawson headlines the arrivals. The Australian defender admitted it was time for a new challenge after playing in the ANZ for all of her career and is highly motivated to make her mark in the UK.
