Brentford After Their Fourth Consecutive Win

Brentford have continued their excellent momentum with a 3-1 away win against rivals, Queens Park Rangers on Monday night and hope to keep their momentum when they host Huddersfield and Danny Cowley at Griffin Park.

October has been a month of improvement for both teams. Brentford have won their last three games scoring three goals in each while Huddersfield are on a six game unbeaten run.

With a victory on Sunday, it would be the first time Brentford have a four-game winning streak since October 2015 and this is the statistic that manager Thomas Frank is using to motivate the squad.

“We can feel it, smell it see it that the focus, the belief and the confidence are extremely high so you need to do everything you can to keep that because you cannot buy that confidence and that feeling in a team but we need to be extra aware of adding extra demand to ourselves,” said Frank.

The manager seems to have settled on his ideal formation. The starting back four has remained the same throughout October with Henrik Dalsgaar, Rico Henry, and Pontus Jansson with Julian Jeanvier all remaining constants in the starting lineup.

The rest of the starting eleven have also remained mostly the same. His midfielders in the past four games have been Kamohelo Mokotjo, Christian Norgaard and Jorsh Da Silva- except for the game against Milwall where Mathian Jensen started.

Ollie Watkins and Bryan Mbeumo have started the last four games up front with the other position in the front three occupied either by Nikos Karelis, Said Benrahma or Sergi Canos.

“I believe that if you find that formation, not the 11 players but if you find those eight or nine players, that’s the key, that’s the core of the team,” said Frank.

Brentford have scored nine goals in the last three games and their free flowing attack will be tested by Huddersfield who have conceded just four goals in their last six games. Both teams are on their best run of the season and will try to keep it up on Saturday in the 3pm kick off at Griffin Park.
