The recent comebacks of Roger Federer and Andy Murray are discussed, as Bellshaw compares the expectations the two players have for themselves upon their return to the sport and predicts how much they can achieve.

Federer marked his return after over a year away from tennis with an impressive opening tournament in Dubai, defeating Dan Evans in his first match before falling to eventual champion Nikoloz Basilashvili. Murray is also trying to get back to the top following his persistent injury concerns over recent years, and put up a spirited effort in his loss to 8th ranked Andrey Rublev in his most recent match in Rotterdam.

Also mentioned talked about is the current state of British tennis, with the form and careers of current players such as Murray, Evans and Johanna Konta being analysed. Bellshaw gives his thoughts on the LTA’s ambitious long-term plans, which they are hoping will lead to a talented next generation of British players.
