West London Varsity: Get to know Filip Chalupniczak
Filip is a second year Sports Rehabilitation student at St. Mary’s University. Since joining he has impressed with his goalkeeping football ability.
The 21-year-old, born in Koźmin Wielkopolski, Poland, moved to England at the age of 13 and currently is signed to Sutton United.
Sutton United have recently been promoted to the Football League and are enjoying their time in League 2. At the time of writing, they currently sit in 8th, pushing for a play-off promotion spot.
Meanwhile, in the Papa John’s Trophy the club has made history by reaching the final, beating League 1 opposition Wigan Athletic to a day at Wembley.
Since joining St. Mary’s Filip has been able to enjoy life as a sports scholar, playing for St. Mary’s Football First Team.
Despite the team not having their best season compared to previous years, there are talented footballers who are going to be giving their best against Brunel. Eli, who has represented the England Universities last year, will be looking to help Filip at the other business end of the pitch.
Sitting at the centre stage of Varsity, the Men’s Football First team could be in with the chance of having the final say in the overall score of the Varsity.
This is one of the four matches scheduled to played at 16:00pm, and by being the last ones, their result could impact the final score.
