Wheels for All: The inclusive initiative in Kingston proving cycling is for everyone

June 1, 2024
A row of tricycles are lined up on a red athletics track with a man wearing a bike helmet and Wheels for All volunteer stood next to them.

At the Weir Archer Athletics Centre in Kingston, Wheels for All offers an oasis of cycling inclusivity. The disability-inclusive initiative is one of several centres set up all over the country that empower everyone to get active.

Made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers, Wheels for All offers a range of adapted bikes to smash barriers to exercise and ensure everyone can enjoy cycling in a safe environment.

The Sports Gazette spoke to co-ordinator Simon Denton, as well as participants and volunteers, to find out more.
