AFC Wimbledon face Sutton United tomorrow in a London derby, with pressure growing on The Dons following their slow start to the season.

Johnnie Jackson’s side lie 17th in the table, having accrued just 12 points from their first 12 games.

Dons manager Jackson will reunite with Sutton boss Matt Gray, who was his former teammate in the youth team at Tottenham.

The Dons are nine points off the play-off places, and fans will be expecting a response against a 15th placed Sutton side who have lost four league games on the bounce and failed to score in their last three.

They face a leaky Wimbledon defence who have conceded 19 league goals this season, the third worst in the division.

Jackson is hopeful of having both goalkeeper Nathan Broome and veteran defender Alex Pierce back fit for Saturday, but the fitness of George Marsh (ankle) and Paris Maghoma (hamstring) will be gameday decisions.

Goalkeeper Will Jääskeläinen will miss “a few weeks” according to Jackson.

The Dons will look to striker Josh Davison, who has four goals and two assists this season, to continue his good form against a Sutton side who have the worst away record in the league.

The visitors too have injury problems, with Aaron Pierce and Louis John looking unlikely to feature following early withdrawals last week against Tranmere.

Joe Kizzi is expected to feature in central defence and winger Enzio Boldewijn may slot in as a makeshift fullback.
