Chelsea currently sit a the top of the table with 27 points out of 10 games with Arsenal only three points behind. On top of that, the Gunners have played one less games making it even more important for both teams.

Arsenal have to do without their striker-duo Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema who both suffered an ACL injury in the end of 2022.

In their last WSL game, the Gunners beat Aston Villa 4-1 keeping a close gap with the league leader.

At the press conference before the game, Eidevall proclaimed that at the request of the players his team will wear black armbands. The reason is Beth Mead’s mother, June Mead, who died of ovarian cancer last week.

Except for Pernille Harder, manager Emma Hayes will have all players available in the Chelsea squad with German midfielder Melanie Leupolz returning after pregnancy.
