Fabio Quartararo is looking to win back to back titles. The Frenchman led the championship for the first half of the season. After the summer break, however, the point gap started to be reduced. Quartararo now finds himself in 2nd place on 235 points. His rival, Pecco Bagnaia has taken a 23 point lead and sits on 258 points.

Fabio Quartararo has one last chance, however it is not an easy task. It won’t depend just on his performance, the finish position of Bagnaia will also be key.

Quartararo needs to win the race, and hope that Pecco Bagnaia finishes 15th or worse to win the 2022 title.

On the opposite side, the leader, Pecco Bagnaia. The italian had a disappointing start to the season however, his name was always at the top of the list as title contender.

Bagnaia’s good performances during the season increased, and he took advantage of the bad results of Quartararo after the break. The Ducati rider took the lead in the race for the title, and has become the favourite to win the Championship. Bagnaia has won just 7 of 19 races this season.

The 25 year old rider, who is part of the Valentino Rossi Academy could become a world champion for the first time in his career. The Italian will need to ensure he finishes anywhere inside the top 15 to claim the title.

At the Valencia GP in 2021, Bagnaia finished P3, and Quartararo P11. During 2020, the Italian finished in the same position and the Frenchman dropped to P16.

Ricardo Tormo is a circuit in which Bagnaia during the last two years had better results than Quartararo, however it is not over yet.

Tomorrow, Quartararo will start P4 in the grid and Bagnaia P8.

The 2022 MotoGp World Champion will be crowned after the race, which kicks off at 1pm on Sunday 6th of November in the Valencia Gp, Spain.
