Brentford boss Thomas Frank remained positive ahead of their cup tie against Arsenal on Wednesday.Frank emphasised his ‘Big belief’ in his group of players and stressed he is ‘not worried’ when questioned on the recent poor run of form in the Premier league.

Following on from their shock 3-1 defeat to strugglers Everton, Frank claimed the result was a ‘one off’ however means the Bees have picked up only 3 points from their first 4 home games of the season.

Kevin Schade who joined the club on a permanent deal in the summer suffered an injury during the warmup before Sunday’s game with Thomas Frank now saying he will be out for ‘Months’.

This comes after last weeks ACL injury to English full-back Rico Henry which has ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Franks side are hoping to go one step further in the EFL cup after losing to League Two side Gillingham at this stage last season.

This year another upset seemed on the cards as another League Two side Newport County took the bees all the way to penalties with the premier league side eventually coming out on top 3-0.

Brentford have only ever reached the semi final in this competition with Frank jokingly claiming he’d like to go ‘One better’.

Thomas Frank did say he ‘Would like a cup run’ despite the rumours of him potential rotating his squad like the previous round.

Loanee David Raya could make a return to the Gtec tomorrow for the first time since his departure.Domestic cup competitions allow players to play against their parent club with the clubs permission.

Raya has started Arsenal’s last 3 matches which have included a debut in the Champions league.

Raya put in another excellent performance against Tottenham in Sunday’s north London derby with Thomas Frank saying the whole club should be ‘very proud to be apart of his journey’.
