8,000 tickets claimed

On Friday, the club announced fans have already claimed 8,000 of free tickets for the stadium with a capacity of 17,000. This will definitely be a new record attendance not only for the Brentford Women but also the London South East Regional Women’s Football League Divison One North (Tier 6).

The Bees are currently second in the table, just two points behind Clapton Community, while Watford is sitting at 8th place.

“We have come a long way over the past few years, and it’s great for me as a manager to see both of our women’s teams heading in a positive direction”, says Brentford headcoach Karleigh Osborne. “The club have been fantastic in their support of us and allowing us to perform at the Gtech gives all the players and this staff a sense of togetherness.”

The anticipation within the club is clearly noticeable. Therefore, they also want to provide the best possible experience for the fans. On their Twitter account, Brentford announced the “Bee the DJ”event for the Sunday game. Fans can request songs that will be played ahead of the match to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Brentford won their last two games

The Bees go into the matchup as favourites as the team’s goal this season is promotion. They won their last two games against AFC Acorns (2-1) in the League Cup and triumphed over Hackney Women’s (1-0) in the last Division 1 game.

Watford also won their last league game against Dulwich Hamlet Women’s Reserves (3-2).

For the matchup on Sunday, both teams will surely experience an incredible audience at the Brentford stadium.

In Osborne’s words: “It’s going to be an amazing day for the girls and a historic one for Brentford as a Club.”
