AFC Wimbledon were left to rue a missed second-half penalty by Josh Davison as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Crewe Alexandra in their last outing on Tuesday. They currently sit 17th in the league table with 16 points from 15 games.

Jackson’s side have had a difficult start to the campaign as they look to bounce back to League One following their relegation last season. The Dons have struggled turning draws into wins this term, sharing the points with their opponents on seven different occasions.

However, a win could be a shot in the arm for the Plough Lane side as they head into cup engagements. They travel to Fratton Park to face Portsmouth in the Papa Johns Trophy on Tuesday before an FA Cup first round clash against Weymouth FC next weekend.

Meanwhile, Harrogate come into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Walsall in midweek. The Sulphurites are four points behind Wimbledon at 21st position – just two points above the drop zone.

Defender Lee Brown will be sidelined for Wimbledon after picking up a hamstring injury against Crewe, but Jackson will be bolstered by the return of Brentford loanee Paris Maghoma who played the full 90 minutes in midweek on his return from injury.

Harrogate manager Simon Weaver, on the other hand, has to contend with a long list of absentees including defender Joe Mattock, youngster Josh Austerfield and midfielders Stephen Dooley and George Thomson. But forward Jack Muldoon could return on Saturday.
