Video: The inspiring tale of Non-League side Sporting Bengal United

Huddle up and carry on the legacy, lads!

Founded in 1996, Non-League side Sporting Bengal United began their journey by only signing Asian players in the nearby areas as they felt the community was underrepresented in the borough of Tower Hamlets.

Today, they have seen an influx of English players in the first-team and have also built a solid fan-following in London’s East End. After their game against Hashtag United at the Mile End Stadium, our reporter Pranav Shahaney caught up with people responsible for the Bengals’ legacy.
