West London Varsity: Get to know Kitty Jones

Kitty Jones is a final year Sports Science student. Amongst writing a dissertation and completing all her other modules, she juggles other aspects of her life.

In order to support herself she works part time and has built up an impressive brand on TikTok.

Boasting over 150,000 followers and just under 4 million likes, Kitty produces content in order to help people in their health and fitness journey. Motivation advice, recipes and workout sessions that have travelled far on the internet.

She is also one of the most experienced footballers in the St. Mary’s Women’s Football first team. Outside of university matches, she currently plays her football for Hounslow Women Football Club.

She is looking to bring her experienced from playing in the FAWNL and help her team mates take the game to Brunel tomorrow at the West London Varsity.

Both St. Mary’s University and Brunel are going head-to-head competing across 16 different sports, with one goal only, to find out which university comes out victorious.

It’s been a few years since the last time this event was able to be staged due to the pandemic and Covid-19 but, if the shenanigans from the last in-person edition are anything to go by, the encounter is going to be a fierce one.

Brunel are this year’s hosts and you can find Kitty and her team mates playing their counter parts at 14:00pm at the 3G football pitch.

Find out more from Kitty on her life as a sports scholar, her expectations of the event and how she thinks this contest will measure up in the interview below.
